Hey everyone.I am gonna start a little project in search of my next game and hopefully yours.The Criteria will be very simple.I will be looking only at F2p,Cash shop supported games.But heres the kicker.For the game to even be considered , I must be able to obtain all cash shop items (At least the majority) in game with in game currency.While I am not opposed to Cash shop games (since it seems this is the future of our Genre), I am looking at games that people who want to spend money or do not can still succeed at a high level.I Have already started my endeavor over the last few days.I am persenolly Downloading and playing 3 games at a time for a few days at a time.This checks that they fit my Criteria and helps me weed through the huge list of games available today.If they don't fit my Criteria I uninstall and replace with the next game.
Soooooo Hereeeee we go.I won't provide any reviews today.I will however let you know what I am working on and what I have dismissed.So Thus far two games have bit the dust in the early rounds of "Project Spauldo".
Dismissed(So far):
Sword of The New World(AKA Sword 2): Shame this one didn't make it.The graphics alone were amazing.However it was a Niche game which seemed to move very slowly.Very hard Cash shop bias with most CS items to be untradeable.The cool thing about this game was that you could level your charcters while AFK using a system in the game that played for you.But Half the game isnt even available to you unless u spend money.So I say to you Sword 2, Bitchhhh be gone.........
Games (so far) That Are in the Project:
Twelve Sky 2: This game reminds me of Rubies alittle.It is click to move, But there is a wasd movement.All Cash shop items are tradeable in game(As far as I have seen).PVP oriented at Higher levs with 1 shot kills.Currently I am level 23 here.Will be writing a full review soon.
Games in the scope:(.E. Games I will be trying)
Runes of Magic:Downloading this now as I type.I am testing this, cuz the cash shop is in game.And there is a system in game for cash shop players to trade the cash shop currency for in game items and money.Will be adding to one of the above list as soon as I can confirm this and get to test it alil.(Warning this is a WoW clone ,hehe.)
Cabal North America: I am anxious to try this one.Not sure about the cash shop yet since there registration is fubarred atm.But will be Downloading this as soon as they fix it.
Stay tuned for more info as I delve further into "Project Spauldo".
